Ear mites
This is one of the most troublesome extrernal parasites of cars. It lives
within the ear canal - where the cat can not reach during grooming.
They are almost invisible to the naked eye, but in large numbers give
a grey crusty appearance. They are easily transmitted to both other
cars and dogs.

Emergency treatment and first aid.
If your cat inured in an accident then consider whether it is safe to
move the cat. Obviously a cat in the road is at risk of further injury
and moving is probably always the best option.
Keep the cat warm and quiet and contact your vet.
Your vet should have details of out of hours services on an answerphone.
